Raiz Produções Cinematográficas was founded in 1974 by the filmmaker Joao Batista de Andrade and the producer Assuncao Hernandes. Subsequently they have produced numerous feature films, as well as short films while collecting many Awards in Brasil and worldwide, working with established filmmakers as well as supporting younger talent.
